So John,Spokes and I took a hike at Sals to check out the water damage from the water main break and also see the overall condition. From what we saw the upper orange isn’t too bad. There is some section of trail gone but we should be able to fix that section relatively easily. The lower you go though the worse it is,on the lower orange there is a lot of trenching…quite amazing really. The amount of ice shelves from all of the water that must have been through and then froze is wild looking. That area is definitely going to need some serious work. We plan on putting together some trail days as soon as we get a little more thaw to get to work on the upper section and really get a jump on it. We will be posting a tentative date in a couple days depending on the extended forecast. Hopefully with the clocks turning ahead giving us some more daylight and sunshine everyone will be able to get out soon and enjoy themselves:)
